JUNKIES

The Digital Junkies are a creative collective of djs, vjs and music producers. We provide diverse forms of entertainment and are establishing ourselves as a local promotion group. Founded by Genome (Greg Kiyomi) and Furious George (Brad Bistritz) in 2000, the Digital Junkies have since grown and now include six members, whose interests and talents encompass a wide range of artistic endeavours. From the production of original tracks to synchronized visual performances to exciting live dj mixing, the Digital Junkies have become a truly multi-media production group.

Our current project is an attempt to establish a strong base of local talent by promoting local djs and offering them a place to take their first steps beyond their bedrooms and basements. Local Motive has had continued success since its launch in July, and we hope that we will have an impact in Edmonton by helping to rebuild our community from its roots.
